The SteamChef™ 3 Convection Steamer is a gas-powered, boilerless countertop steamer with one compartment. It has a capacity for three full-size steam table pans and features a 60-minute electro-mechanical timer with a manual bypass switch for continuous steaming. The door is left-hand hinged, with controls located on the right. The steamer has automatic drain and water level controls, as well as a KleanShield™ interior for easy cleaning and maintenance. The exterior is made of stainless steel and it comes with 4" adjustable legs with flanged feet. The steamer operates at 32,000 BTU and is UL and ENERGY STAR® certified. It also meets gas and sanitation standards set by NSF. The front access works in a drawer style for easy servicing, and the steam and fan shut off when the compartment door is opened. The steamer has heavy-duty adjustable legs and a high-efficiency atmospheric gas heating system. It can accommodate up to three 12" x 20" x 2.5" deep steam table pans and includes a 60-minute timer with LED indicator lights. The steamer has a 1.0 gallon water reservoir located at the bottom of the cooking compartment for easy access and maintenance. The compartment door is made of durable 14 gauge stainless steel and has a latch that withstands heavy wear. The door is reversible and has a self-adjustable inner door to prevent leaks. The steamer also features an automatic drain control, which drains the compartment when the main power is turned off. It has a 1/2" ball valve with micro switch circuitry and requires a 1.5" NPT drain connection. The steamer uses fan-forced convection steam with a patented KleanShieldTM cooking compartment design to collect and remove condensate waste. It has automatic water level controls and a large overflow port in the rear wall. The steamer has a preheat and standby temperature of 193° and a high-temperature automatic safety shut-off. Optional accessories include an electronic timer, single point water connection, a 34" high stainless steel equipment stand, and an ON/OFF compartment control without a timer. A 5-foot FDA-approved National Hose Thread style water connection kit is also available.
