The SteamChef™ 3 Convection Steamer is an electric, boilerless countertop steamer with 1 compartment. It has a capacity for 3 full-size pans and features SureCook controls, a 60-minute electro-mechanical timer, and a manual bypass switch for continuous steaming. The door is left-hand hinged, with controls on the right. It has automatic drain and water level controls, a KleanShield™ interior, and standard treated and tap water connections. The exterior is made of stainless steel and it has 4" adjustable legs. It is UL, cUL, and ENERGY STAR® certified. Standard features include steam and fan shut off control when the compartment door is opened, heavy-duty adjustable legs, left-hand door hinging, and a cooking capacity for up to three 12" x 20" x 2.5" deep steam table pans. It meets agency codes such as UL, CUL, NSF#4, and Energy Star. It has a high-speed electric convection steamer with a 1.0 gallon water reservoir located at the bottom of the cooking compartment for easy access. The 12 kW electric heating element is encased in a solid aluminum block for fast and efficient heat transfer. The compartment door is made of durable 14 gauge stainless steel and has a latch that withstands abuse and heavy wear. The steam generator drains automatically when the main power is turned off. The steam compartment has a patented KleanShieldTM design that collects and removes condensate waste, keeping the compartment clean and safe. It also has automatic water level controls and a SureCook compartment control system that improves cooking speed and accuracy. Optional accessories include an electronic timer, single phase operation, a pan rack kit, a single point water connection, a pull-out shelf kit, right-hand door hinging, and more. There are also options for different voltages and stands for mounting the steamer.
