The SteamChef™ 6 Convection Steamer is an electric, boilerless/connectionless countertop steamer with a 1 compartment. It has a capacity of 6 full-size pans and features SureCook controls, a manual bypass switch for continuous steaming, and a left-hand hinged door with controls on the right. The steamer has a KleanShield™ interior and a stainless steel exterior. It is equipped with a 3-gallon water reservoir and can be mounted on a stand or countertop. The steamer has 5" skid-resistant adjustable legs and meets UL, cUL, and ENERGY STAR® standards. It has a high temperature safety shut off and reset button, and its construction is made of heavy-duty 14-gauge stainless steel. The steamer operates on 208-240 volts, 12 kW, and 3 phase (1 phase optional). It has manual water fill and drain controls, eliminating the need for a water or drain connection. The steamer also features a SureCook Load Compensating Thermostat for precise cooking times and a 4" deep solid drain pan for manual drain. It has a standpipe safety overflow drain and uses fan forced convection steam with an exclusive baffle system for superior steam circulation. The steamer's patented "KleanShield" technology eliminates flavor transfer and foaming caused by water contamination. It has a capacity for various steam table pans and features an exclusive "Self-Adjusting" two-piece compartment door with a free-floating inner door and reversible door gasket for extended gasket life. Optional accessories include a 480-volt option, single-phase option, 5-foot cord and plug, pan rack kit for unistands, pull-out shelf for unistands, and unistands of different heights.
