The SteamChef™ 6 Convection Steamer is an electric, boilerless countertop steamer with a 1 compartment. It has a capacity for 6 full-size pans and features SureCook controls, a 60-minute electro-mechanical timer, and a manual bypass switch for continuous steaming. The left-hand hinged door and controls on the right make it convenient to use. It also has automatic drain and water level controls, a KleanShield™ interior, and standard treated and tap water connections. The exterior is made of stainless steel and it has 4" adjustable legs. It is UL, cUL, and ENERGY STAR® certified. Some of its standard features include steam and fan shut off control when the compartment door is opened, heavy-duty adjustable legs, left-hand door hinging, and a cooking capacity for up to six 12" x 20" x 2.5" deep steam table pans. It meets agency codes such as UL, CUL, NSF#4, and Energy Star. The steamer has a high-speed electric convection system with a 1.0 gallon water reservoir located at the bottom of the cooking compartment for easy access and maintenance. It has a 12 kW electric heating element encased in a solid aluminum block for fast and efficient heat transfer. The compartment door is made of durable 14 gauge stainless steel and has a latch that can withstand heavy wear. The exclusive SteamChef TM Automatic Drain Control allows for easy draining when the main power is turned off. The steamer also features fan forced convection steam with the patented KleanShieldTM cooking compartment design, which collects and removes condensate waste. It has automatic water level controls and a safety overflow standpipe. The SureCook Compartment Controls improve cooking speed and accuracy, with an energy-saving design and a standby feature. It also includes a 60-minute electro-mechanical timer and LED indicator lights. There are several options and accessories available for the steamer, including an electronic timer, single point water connection, right-hand door hinging, and optional voltages.
