The Glastender DI-FR Ice Cream Freezer is a self-contained ice cream station that can be installed into a counter. It has a stainless steel interior with a 3-gallon capacity and can keep ice cream cold at temperatures ranging from -5°F to 10°F. The insulation used is CFC-free foamed-in-place insulation, which helps maintain the desired temperature efficiently. The stainless steel lid is hinged at the rear and stays open when dipping. The exterior wrap is made from galvanized steel. The cooling unit has a ¼ HP and uses R404a coolant. To install the unit into a counter, a cutout of 14-¾" x 14-¾" and a depth of 23" are required. It is important to ensure that there is at least 5" of clearance on all sides of the unit to allow for proper airflow to the cooling system. The condenser requires a minimum airflow of 150 CFM to operate effectively, so it is crucial to check if the planned installation counter meets these requirements. The ice cream freezer operates on 120v/60/1-ph and it is recommended to have a dedicated 15 amp circuit for it. The unit comes with a 6-foot NEMA 5-15P cord plug and cord. Mounting hardware, including U-channels, mounting bolts, and angle brackets, are included for easy installation. The Glastender DI-FR Ice Cream Freezer is certified by both ETL and ETL-Sanitation. Standard features of this ice cream freezer include CFC-free foamed-in-place insulation, a six-foot grounded cord and plug, and options for one or two 3-gallon containers. All faucets are NSF/ANSI 372 low lead compliant. It is also available with an integral 6" diameter draining dipper well and faucet. The work surface, lid, and interior liner are made of stainless steel, while the exterior wrap is made of galvanized steel. Special angle brackets, U-channels, and mounting bolts are provided for easy installation and removal if necessary.
