The U Series Restaurant Range is a gas range that measures 60" in width. It features eight open burners, each with a BTU rating of 32,000. The range also includes a 12" x 23" smooth steel griddle plate that is 5/8" thick. The griddle plate is controlled manually.
The range has two storage bases for added convenience. It is constructed with a stainless steel front, sides, plate rail, and a two-piece back guard and shelf. The range stands on 6" stainless steel legs with adjustable feet.
In terms of performance, the range has a total BTU rating of 274,000. It is certified by CSA Flame, CSA Star, cCSAus, and NSF.
The range comes with several standard features, including a gas regulator, large easy-to-use control knobs, and a large work top surface. It also has stamped drip trays with dimpled bottoms for easy cleaning. The range is equipped with a stainless steel backguard and a removable stainless steel shelf.
Additional standard features include an open storage base instead of an oven, a wide grease trough, a keep-cool oven door handle, and ergonomic split cast iron top ring grates. The range also has a cast iron "H" style oven burner with a BTU rating of 38,000. The oven is controlled by a snap action modulating oven thermostat.
The range includes a 5/8" thick steel griddle plate with a manual hi/lo valve control. The griddle plate has a working depth surface of 23". The range also has a large oven with a porcelain ribbed bottom and door. The oven can accommodate standard sheet pans in both directions.
Optional features for the range include additional oven racks, flanged deck mount legs, piezo spark ignition for griddle pilots, and a 240V convection oven motor. Other options include a snap action modulating griddle control, leveling swivel casters, a low profile backguard, and a hot top plate in lieu of two open burners.
The range is designed for commercial use and is not approved for residential use. It is available with a convection oven or a storage base instead of the standard oven(s). Installation clearance reductions are applicable only where local codes permit. Ranges supplied with casters must be installed with an approved restraining device.
