The Spec-Line Roll-In Commercial Blast Chiller with EPICON Control is a high-quality commercial refrigerator designed to chill and hold large quantities of food. It features a self-contained holding refrigeration system and can accommodate one 72" high rack. The chiller is hinged on the right and comes with a Combi-Oven Kit with two printers. It is cULus and NSF certified.
The chiller comes with several standard features including an on-board cycle data printer, Epicon touch screen control, three-year parts and labor warranty, self-closing and stay-open door feature, stainless steel door with cylinder lock, magnetic snap-in EZ-clean door gaskets, and stainless steel exterior and interior construction. It also has a two-year additional compressor parts warranty.
The Exclusive Epicon Control allows for easy operation with adjustable target temperatures and times. It has four chilling settings including speed, energy, standard, and delicate. The control also has a USB port for downloading cycle data and software updates.
There are several options and accessories available for the chiller including right or left-hand door hinging, a correctional facility package, a stainless steel finished back, a roll-in rack that holds 26 12" x 20" pans, a floor-mounted condensate evaporator, an on-board label printer, a water-cooled self-contained condenser suitable for connection to glycol, and a Combi Oven Compatibility Collar.
The chiller requires a separate remote condensing unit for operation. There are several options available including air-cooled and water-cooled units. The condensing unit can be purchased from Traulsen or elsewhere.
The chiller is constructed with stainless steel and heavy gauge galvanized steel. It has a high-density, non-CFC foamed in place polyurethane insulation. The refrigeration system uses R-404A refrigerant and features a self-contained maintenance system, thermostatic expansion valve metering device, high-humidity evaporator coil, high-speed evaporator fan, air-cooled hermetic compressor, and hot gas defrost.
The interior of the chiller can accommodate one or two 72" high roll-in racks. The racks are not included but can be purchased separately.
The chiller operates in standard blast chill mode with air temperatures cycling between 10-14°F to promote rapid product chilling without freezing. Target temperatures can be adjusted between 40 and -5°F. The control monitors cycle operation and records all data required for HACCP compliance
