The Steam'N'Hold™ Boilerless Convection Steamer is a countertop electric steamer that can hold up to six 12"x 20"x 2-1/2" deep pans. It features vacuum cooking and manual mechanical timer controls. The steamer does not require any water or drain connections and operates on 6kW of power. It is made in the USA and is ENERGY STAR® certified.
Some of the standard features of this steamer include a 90-minute timer, a heavy-duty door, a power on/off switch, and a field reversible door. It also has a 3-gallon water reservoir, a front-mounted drain valve, and a right-hand hinged door. The steamer comes with a 5' power cord and plug and does not require a hood in most areas. It has vacuum and temperature gauges, as well as heat, cook, and hold indicator lights.
The steamer is designed for easy maintenance, as it does not require deliming, descaling, or blowdowns. Its heating element is not exposed to water, and there are no water quality exclusions to the warranty. It also has low water protection with a light and buzzer, and a quick-release door that can be opened while cooking. The steamer offers fast cook, low temp, steam and hold modes, and has a steam director that covers the water for added safety.
The countertop convection steamer cavity is made of durable reinforced 14 ga. 304 stainless steel. It is exclusive and patented with a low-temperature steam cooking mode. Optional features for this steamer include a drain kit, a marine package, a military package, and a 180-minute timer. Other options include a door hinged on the left, a perforated cooking shelf, and a one-year extended warranty.
Additional optional features include a 4" full-size drain pan, a double stacking stand conversion kit, and a water shield that covers the water reservoir. The steamer can also be equipped with 4" adjustable bullet feet or flanged feet, a corrections package for tamper resistance, and a steamer door crack open/hold open feature. A stainless steel support stand with casters, bullet or flanged feet, and a chain package for factory preset hold temperature are also available.
