The Spec-Line Roll-In Commercial Blast Chiller with EPICON Control is a high-quality commercial refrigerator designed to chill large quantities of food quickly and safely. It features a self-contained holding refrigeration system and can hold two 72" high racks. The front and rear doors are hinged on the right side and come with two printers. This blast chiller is cULus and NSF certified.
Some of the standard features of this blast chiller include an on-board cycle data printer, Epicon touch screen control, three-year parts and labor warranty, self-closing and stay-open door feature, stainless steel door with cylinder lock, and magnetic snap-in EZ-clean door gaskets. The exterior and interior are constructed of stainless steel, ensuring durability and easy cleaning. The unit also comes with a two-year additional compressor parts warranty.
The Exclusive Epicon Control offers advanced features such as displaying temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius, a 90-day cycle data memory, adjustable target temperatures and times, and advanced data management and defrost options. It can be operated in two ways - AUTO for hands-free cycle start and MANUAL for chill by time-temp-recipe.
The blast chiller offers four chilling settings - SPEED to reduce chill time by 10%, ENERGY to save approximately 10% energy, STANDARD for basic chill operation, and DELICATE for refreshing ready-to-eat foods.
There are various options and accessories available for customization, including right or left-hand door hinging, a correctional facility package, a stainless steel finished back, a roll-in rack that holds 26 12" x 20" pans, a floor-mounted condensate evaporator, an on-board label printer, and a water-cooled self-contained condenser suitable for connection to glycol.
The blast chiller requires a separate remote condensing unit for operation, which can be purchased from Traulsen or elsewhere. There are different options available for remote condensing units, including air-cooled and water-cooled models.
The hardware, insulation, and construction of the blast chiller are of high quality. The exterior and interior are made of stainless steel, and the door is equipped with a cylinder lock and guaranteed-for-life cam-lift hinges. The unit is insulated with high-density, non-CFC foamed-in-place polyurethane.
