The Drop-In Hot/Cold Well is a versatile unit that combines the technology of Hatco's Heated and Refrigerated Wells. It can accommodate two full-size pans and comes with a remote mountable panel, a 60" power supply whip, electronic temperature control, auto defrost, automatic water fill, and a condensing unit. The well is equipped with pan support bars and has a power of 3000 watts and 1/4 HP. It is cULus certified and made in the USA.
The well features an easy-to-read electronic control assembly and adjustable set points to keep your food items at optimum temperatures. It can be seamlessly integrated with Hatco's line of Refrigerated and Heated Wells for a cohesive look. The transition between operating modes (hot and cold) takes approximately 60 minutes.
The well can be controlled remotely with the mountable control box, which can be easily accessed from any vertical surface within 5 feet. It can house a variety of pans, including full-size, half-size, and third-size pans, and is available in a two through six pan configuration.
In cold mode, the well functions similar to Hatco's CWB Cold Well, with auto-defrost, easy serviceability, optimal insulation, and an efficient condenser. It includes cold mode pan supports. In hot mode, it utilizes the FR2 Hydro-Heater with "free flow" technology for efficient and safe operation. It includes a drain, auto-fill, and a hot mode frame for pan support.
Optional features include three-phase wiring and an additional four-year parts-only warranty on the compressor. Accessories available at the time of purchase include a flush hose, cleaning brush, stopper, adapter, and pan supports of different sizes. Rectangular full-size stainless steel food pans in various heights are also available.

It is made of stainless and aluminized steel and features an electronic control panel with a digital temperature display, drain, auto-fill, power light, and a 3-position rocker switch. In cold mode, it includes a condensing unit, sight glass, service valves, receiver, and a dryer/filter. The digital temperature display for the cold mode has a set point of 32°F and can be adjusted from 10°F to 50°F. In hot mode, the patented Hatco FR2 consists of stainless steel tubes wrapped with external heating elements.
