The HyperSteam™ Convection Steamer is an electric, table top steamer with one compartment. It can hold up to five 12" x 20" x 2-1/2" deep pans per compartment and is stackable for convenience. The steamer is constructed with stainless steel for durability and has dual water connections. The steamer cavity and cabinet are made of stainless steel and have removable side panels for easy access to internal components. The steamer door is also stainless steel and has a strong continuous hinge. It can be reversed to swing left or right and has a replaceable seal. The door has an easy-open handle and latch for a secure seal. A hidden magnetic door switch cuts power to the blower and generator when the door is opened. The pan support racks are removable and made of polished stainless steel. A stainless steel condensate collection tray is located under the cavity door. The exterior of the cabinet, including the door, has a #3 uniform finish. The cavity interiors are polished stainless steel. The control panel face plates are smudge-resistant polyester film for easy cleaning. The steamer is UL-listed and Canadian UL-listed. It also meets NSF requirements and is NSF-listed for sanitation. The unit allows for easy deliming of the steam generator through an access port on top. It has a push button auto-delime feature. The steamer controls include an ON-OFF power button, a 60-minute electro-mechanical timer with a continuous steam setting, and a READY light that indicates when the cavity is ready for steaming. There is also an auto delime button for initiating the deliming cycle. The steamer cavity has a side-mounted blower that increases steam velocity and ensures efficient steam distribution between loaded pans. The steam generator delivers 3.1 KW power input per 2 1/2" deep steam pan. The heat-up time to READY is 8-10 minutes or less. The cavity is kept warm and ready for instant steam between loads. There is no cavity warm up required after the READY light comes on. The unit has a DELIME indicator light to warn the operator of the need to delime the steam generator. It will shut off if the water level is low. When the power is turned off, the unit automatically blows down the steam generator to reduce sediment build-up. The steamer has an electric-heated, rear-mounted steam generator that provides atmospheric steam to the chamber at a temperature of
