The Short Series™ Steam Jacketed Kettle is an electric, tilting kettle with a 60-gallon capacity. It features a full steam jacket design and a 35" rim height. The kettle has an open tri-leg base and a stainless steel exterior finish. It comes standard with flanged feet and has a 50 psi rating.
Some of the standard features of the kettle include a 50 psi safety valve, a faucet mounting bracket, and water resistant controls with splash-proof construction. It also has a splash-proof element cover with a double gasket seal and a 2" diameter tangent draw-off valve with a drain strainer. The kettle is approved by UL, CSA, CE, NSF, and ASME.
The standard voltage for the kettle is 208-240 volts, 60 Hz, 3-phase, 3-wire. It has a 50 psi steam jacket rating for higher cooking temperatures. The kettle has a spring-assisted, hinged, rotatable, domed stainless steel cover and is self-contained and easily installed with only an electrical hook-up.
Other features of the kettle include a solid state water level control, 1 5/8" O.D. tri-leg supports with level adjustable feet for floor bolting, and a steam jacket filled with treated water that does not require venting or refilling. The kettle also has welded-in heating elements for better vacuum holding and prevention of leaks or water loss. Its reinforced rolled rim design prevents damage to the kettle rim and eliminates "bar rim designs".
The kettle is easily cleaned as both the kettle and all exterior surfaces are made of type 304 stainless steel with a #4 finish. It has a rear mounted easy access pressure gauge and pressure relief valve to prevent tampering. The pressure gauge is color coded and easy to read with a "green" and "vent air zone" indicator.
The kettle has accurate and consistent solid state temperature controls with less than ±1°C variance. Its operating temperature range is from 145°F - 260°F (63°C - 127°C). The control panel includes a power ON/OFF switch, LED indicators for low water and heat cycle, and an adjustable temperature control dial.
