The EGF2403A2450-T1 Accu-Steam™ Countertop Griddle from AccuTemp is a tabletop model that offers a generous 717 sq. in. of cooking area. Unlike other griddles on the market, AccuTemp has developed a unique heating system for this model. The Accu-Steam™ system utilizes a hermetically sealed vacuum chamber filled with pure water. Low watt density heating elements are submerged in the water, which heats up and produces steam. This hot steam evenly heats the stainless steel griddle plate, which is made of cold-rolled 7 gauge steel. Unlike traditional electric griddles that use multiple heating elements to directly heat specific areas of the plate, AccuTemp's steam solution provides near-instantaneous heat transfer and even heating throughout the plate. This results in faster recovery times and more efficient cooking. Temperature control is achieved through a digital thermostat that allows for temperatures ranging from 200°F to 400°F. The griddle also offers the convenience of 3 temperature presets that can be programmed. Additionally, a manager mode is available for locking the temperature control at a single setting. To facilitate easy grease management, the griddle features a 3-?” wide grease trough that runs the full width of the cooking surface. The grease is collected in a 5-quart grease pan, which can be easily accessed through a front-accessible drawer for quick and hassle-free removal. In terms of energy efficiency, this Countertop Griddle is ENERGY STAR compliant and pulls up to 24.0 amps of power. It comes with a 5' power cord and a 15-50P plug for easy installation.
