To securely, efficiently, and conveniently store refrigerated goods in bulk, an outdoor walk-in unit like the NorLake KODB77614-C 6' x 14' x 7'-7" H Kold Locker is essential. This walk-in cooler offers 490 cu. ft. of refrigerated space with a top-mounted compressor.

The panels of this walk-in cooler are designed for durability, with an embossed stucco coating on both the internal and exterior surfaces to provide corrosion resistance to the 26 gauge steel. These panels are 4" thick and feature foamed-in-place insulation between the steel panels, providing an R-value of 25. Assembling the Kold Locker walk-in is simple, as each panel has female and male rails that easily mate together. The panels are then fully tightened with foamed-in-place cam locks, ensuring an airtight connection. The corners are sealed with panel gaskets that go around the outer perimeter without any breaks or cuts. The edge caps on the ceiling and floor panels are also foamed-in-place to secure them for the life of the walk-in unit.

The standard door on this unit is 26" wide and comes with a stepped profile that acts as a barrier against airflow. The door includes two cam-lift hinges that can be installed to open from the right or left. These hinges are field-adjustable to compensate for settling over time. A spring-loaded door closer is included to prevent the door from being left open accidentally. The door comes pre-hung on a 4' wide panel and features a vapor-proof LED light controlled by a switch connected to an exterior indicator light, magnetic stainless steel trim, a replaceable perimeter heating wire, and a digital thermometer. The NL 9800 deadbolt handle with an independent key/padlock feature ensures the security of items inside the walk-in, and a safety release is included to prevent workers from getting locked inside.

The interior temperature of the walk-in is efficiently maintained between 35°F and 38°F by the RCPB075JC-E-4-EV Capsule Pak Refrigeration System in the ceiling, which produces 5812 BTU/hr of heat rejection. The temperature is set and controlled by the Enviro-Control panel, which also allows for adjusting the defrost timer or manually initiating defrosting. The walk-in unit is protected from precipitation by the white 35 mill membrane roof material, which is held in place with metal trim fixed to the unit
