The Drop-In Heated Well is a rectangular, insulated unit with a capacity for (4) 1/3 size pans. It features a top-mounted, remote thermostat with a separate power switch. The construction is made of stainless steel with low wattage. It is cUL, UL, UL EPH Classified, and ANSI/NSF 4 certified.
The standard features of this heated well include convenient 4/3-sized wells that hold heated foods at safe serving temperatures. It also has a larger drain, more consistent holding temperatures, heavier stainless steel construction, and an easier-to-service design for quick component changes. The remote thermostat with a separate power switch allows for easy temperature control.
The heated well is available in low, standard, and high watt options. It comes in rectangular 4/3-size wells, which can be uninsulated or insulated. Accessory mounting kits for combustible countertops are also available. The design allows for quick element or thermostat changes, and there are accessory adapters to convert the wells to hold round pans. The unit can be purchased with or without a drain, with the drain option offering easier cleaning with a larger drain and flat screen.
The thermostat controls of the heated well are superior, reading the actual temperature of the well and adding heat only if needed. The controls feature a separate lighted ON/OFF rocker switch and temperature dial, allowing preset temperatures to be maintained.
There are several options available for the control box, including different thermostat options and control assemblies. The control box bezel is available in various designer colors. The water fill hole can be on the left or right side for certain models. Additional power supply lead wire is available in one-foot increments.
Various accessories are also available for the heated well, including rectangular full-size stainless steel food pans, round food pans, hinged lids and notched lids for round pans, stainless steel wire trivets, plated wire trivets, support bars, ball valves and gate valves for units with drains, mounting kits for combustible countertops, and a heated well remote handle for drains. There is also an adapter to convert the warmers to hold round pans.
