The Glastender MF48-S2 Underbar Glass Froster is designed to chill glassware and enhance the experience of cold drinks. This self-contained model has a stainless steel finish and features two sliding covers that effortlessly glide over PVC breaker strips. These breaker strips also act as a thermal barrier to maintain the internal temperature. The unit can chill up to 147 pint glasses on its two shelves and bottom rack. The unit offers automatic defrosting every eight hours, but also has a manual setting for a six-hour defrost cycle. It does not require plumbing thanks to its automatic evaporator. The cooling unit uses 404A refrigerant and provides 2,907 BTU/hr of heat rejection, keeping the unit between 12ºF and 35ºF. With external dimensions of 36" in width, 24" front to back, and 34" in height, this unit can be easily integrated with other Glastender underbar equipment. While it does not come with legs, a 6" leg kit is available to ensure it sits flush with backsplashes. The Glastender MF48-S2 is built to withstand demanding commercial applications. Power is supplied to the unit with a 6-foot grounded cord and a standard NEMA 5-16P plug. It draws 7.1 amps at full load and is available in two power configurations: 120v/60/1-ph and 220v/50/1-ph. The unit is cETLus and ETL-Sanitation certified. Standard features of the Glastender MF48-S2 include self-contained refrigeration, a one-piece integral top and mullion design, and an automatic condensate evaporator that does not require a drain connection. The interior is made of stainless steel with radius corners for easy cleaning. The exterior is available in black vinyl-clad steel or stainless steel. The unit comes with a bottom rack, which is recommended for chilling stacked plates. Two additional layers of shelves are optional and recommended for chilling glassware.
