R404A models use PSC evaporator fan motors, while R290 models use electronically commutated (ECM) fan motors. R404A models have a removable and washable condenser coil air filter, while R290 models do not require one. High performance condenser fan motors ensure efficient compressor ventilation. R290 models use auto-reverse condenser fan motors, which also support condenser coil cleaning.
