The Sandwich Top Refrigerated Counter with Sneezeguard is a two-section counter with a 48"W size and a capacity of 13.01 cu. ft. It features two doors, a stainless steel top with an opening for 12 1/6 size pans, a 10" cutting board, and four shelves. The exterior is made of stainless steel, while the interior is made of aluminum. The refrigeration system is rear-mounted and self-contained, using R290 Hydrocarbon refrigerant and a 1/6 HP motor. The counter is cULus, UL EPH Classified, and UL-Sanitation approved, and it is made in the USA.
The counter is part of the SPE Elite Series, which includes enhanced refrigeration and a new grille system for better airflow and temperature distribution. The design ensures that product in open containers is kept below 41°F and above freezing, resulting in increased shelf life, higher quality food, better appearance, fresher product, and reduced bacteria build-up.
The cabinet construction includes hinges that allow the doors to stay open at 120°, a digital thermometer on the door to monitor the interior temperature, and a sneeze guard assembly made of stainless steel and clear plastic. The countertop is dual-sided and made of stainless steel for durability. Two epoxy-coated steel wire shelves are included per door section. The doors have a plug-in type vinyl magnetic gasket for a positive seal. The cabinet insulation is CFC and HCFC-free foamed-in-place polyurethane.
The exterior construction features a heavy-duty stainless steel finish on the front, sides, top, door(s), back, and grille. The counter comes with six-inch adjustable legs as standard, with the option of six-inch casters or three-inch ADA compliant casters. The doors are mounted on cartridge style hinges, allowing them to self-close. The door handle is made of extruded aluminum with a black anodized finish, designed for easy opening from both the top and bottom.
The counter can accommodate either 8 or 12 1/6 size pans, depending on the model. The pans furnished are 4" deep and made of polycarbonate plastic. The refrigeration system is more robust, providing added capacity and efficiency. It includes an automatic condensate evaporator to eliminate the need for floor drains. The forced air from the evaporator is moved under the pans, which are recessed 2" from the top of the cabinet
