The EGF2401A2450-S2 Accu-Steam™ Countertop Griddle from AccuTemp is an electrically heated stand-mounted model with 717 sq. in. of effective cooking area designed for use with 240v/60/1-ph power. Unlike other electric griddles on the market, this griddle uses a unique hermetically sealed vacuum chamber with heating elements submerged in water. This chamber, similar to those found in steam kettles, eliminates the need for refilling or maintenance. The griddle plate is made from 7 gauge stainless steel that is polished cold-rolled to prevent food from sticking. Despite its thinness, the griddle plate recovers quickly due to the use of steam for heating. Steam naturally heats the cold spots on the griddle plate, ensuring even heat distribution. Managing grease on the cooking surface is simple with a 3-½” wide, ½” deep grease trough that runs the full width of the cooking surface. The grease then flows into a 5-quart grease pan for easy removal. The grease pan can be accessed from the front of the unit and includes a weep hole to indicate when it's full. The Accu-Steam™ Countertop Griddle is ENERGY STAR compliant and helps save on electrical costs. It uses 40.0 amps of power and comes with a 5-foot power cord that terminates in a 15-50P plug. The sturdy stainless steel stand is equipped with casters for easy movement during cleaning or maintenance. Standard control features include a control guard, heating indicator light, 3 preset temperatures, over temperature indicator light, easy front service access to controls, a digital thermostat with a range of 200-400°F, and a manager mode to lock out temperature controls. Construction features include a control guard, a full front grease trough that is 3-⅞” wide and ½” deep, a drop chute to a grease pan with a capacity of 5 quarts (24”), 6 ½ quarts (36”, 48”), a 7 gauge griddle plate with a 4” high rear splash and tapered side walls ranging from 4” to 1 5/16”, and a cold-rolled and annealed stainless steel griddle plate with a polished stainless steel body.
